12 Hour Rowing Challenge to Break a Guinness World Record and Fund Mental Health Support

On 3rd October 2026, something serious is happening at Port d’Andratx Gym.

This is not just another fitness challenge. This is a 12 hour continuous row on a Concept2 machine, with one objective, to break a Guinness World Record and raise funds for mental health support through VÕS HELP.

Founded by James Dean Priestley, VÕS HELP is built on a simple principle, people need to speak to real people, not bots, not delays, not waiting lists. The platform connects users to qualified professionals in under 60 seconds.

This challenge exists for one reason, access.

Too many people are struggling in silence because support is either too expensive, too slow, or too complicated to access. VÕS HELP removes those barriers by offering instant, pay as you go mental wellbeing support with real humans.

Every pound raised from this event will go directly towards funding free counselling calls for those who need it most. Through a structured code system, donations are converted into real conversations, ensuring that support reaches the right people without friction.

This is where the challenge becomes bigger than the row itself.

The person attempting this is not a typical endurance athlete. At 37 years old, weighing 100kg, and far from the stereotypical rowing build, this attempt is about proving a point. Limits are often self imposed, and resilience is built through action.

The goal is to raise £10,000.

That translates into hundreds of real conversations for people who might otherwise go without support.

The event will begin at 7am at Port d’Andratx Gym, Mallorca, and will require physical endurance, mental discipline, and community backing to complete.

Support is not optional here, it is critical.

You can contribute by donating, sharing the mission, or using the free code already released to experience the platform firsthand.

At its core, this is not about rowing, it is about giving people access to someone who will listen.
